Re door leaks......I’ve read lots and lots of threads about this as our passenger door leaks with heavy rain. So have replaced seal with a good quality one but have discovered no door membrane (still finding out stuff after only owning a few months..) Also, the drainage holes have been painted/filled in by previous owners. I’m not sure how many drainage holes now need drilling out as I can see 4 indentations when looking under the arch bit and none in the footwell bit. Before we do the membranes and start drilling holes can someone show me a pic as to where exactly we need to reinstate the drainage holes please??!! Have got waxoyl ready for when we’ve done this stage. All help greatly received! Thanks.
drill a hole at bottom of inner door frame then paint inside and out then waxoil it , plenty of wax inside all of doors , replace plASTIC MEMBRAINE
Thank you. Do I drill one in the lower part above the footwell ? (Inner bit) We put the van under cover at the weekend so hopefully it’ll be ok until we can do it.
on the main lower inner frame i would do 2 holes one in front of frame one futher back 8 inches apart , prevention is cheaper than cure good luck , keep asking thats what we are here for

A couple of holes in the bottom of the door right over the front step. Holes anywhere else will cause water to leak into the van interior.
When I park on our drive the van then faces upwards so when it rains water collects in the corners of doors! Have solved this by drilling a small hole in the corner of each door, between the door skin and rubber seal, when opening the door the water just runs out and the door seal with the door shut stops water getting into cab.
^this. I really wouldn't drill any holes at the rear of the door. If your seals aren't great, water is going to gush into the van...
Park it the other way round so the water never collects. Of course if your window seals and scrapers are in good state very little gets in anyway . And in any case flood the door with Waxoyl or equivalent to stop water going into the seams. Make sure the holes are clear so water runs out.. The key is that the holes at the front of the door are outside the door seal so water can always leave. Holes at the back are for rotting out your seat belt attachments.
^this. Your seat belt attachments will rot. As above, flood the whole door with Waxoyl or similar, especially the rear areas over the wheel arches. Fit a waterproof membrane that flaps over the rear of the air vent. Leave the air vents open.
yeah membranes are all good and inside of doors are coated in waxoyl. Parking the other way round to much of a faf. Doors were drilled six years ago and still rust free! .Yes the window scrapers are not 100% but the seat belt attachment areas are still good....the rear drain holes has worked fine for me.
