We used to have a lemonade wagon round our way in the 50s/60s called Stantons - they sold fantastic ginger beer in quart earthenware flagons .
We never had the Corona man round our village, we must have been too far out of town What we did get though was a mobile Co-Op butchers van and also a bloke used to come round in a big grocers van once a week as there was no village shop. We also had the mobile library lorry once a fortnight
Barry, Our lives are inextricably linked. I too worked the pop round albeit Mr Bacon. Harry Fenton, Triumph Tina's and we both have a full head of hair.
Ben Shaws factory was in Dodworth always enjoyed there pop with some crisps as a kid, Lemonade or Cream Soda loved it and you got money back on the bottles
Anyway talking of all this pop n stuff ,apparently theirs gona bea shortage if not careful .One of the two co2 producing factory’s is closed for refurb n other works and this will mean their will be a shortage , it will also affect fizzy beers etc so stock up quick n don’t tell anyone else before you have , just sayin
