Just been thinking about this. On occasion we employed casual labourers. One guy, a local jack the lad type wouldn't play our game and one of the other lads started to rib him about it for a couple of days. On the third day he came in with an armful of jaffas and threw them viciously at each of us in turn saying " here's yer F- in Jaffa's, you F -in babbie r'ses" we just rolled around laughing. He got on board after that and stayed three months. He wasn't such a jack the lad in the end and runs his own small building firm now. Saw him today in town when I popped into the Doctor's, coincidentally!
Yeah, that's definitely a money spinner. Well remembered I have three weeks work on the books already. I haven't actually made it official yet either Looking at pick ups on ebay though
Then this, but I need to paint it. And then there's this one from the dark side, it's quite tidy and practical
My dodgy work was better than some of the other local blokes best. That programme really didn't show some of the crud some so called builders churn out. A friend has just had some bathroom work done and is now paying someone else to put it right. The ( tradesman ) that did the initial work is basically a crook!
Its not just builders. Was qouted £2 k for turbo fault on car, took it elsewhere. Turned out to be £100 lambda.
