Today is another sad day :( Six more of our brave soldiers killed in an explosion in Afganistan, what a total waste of life and in my opinion for nothing, the minute we leave it'll go back to how it was, we need to get out and stay out, I've got two nephews serving over there now and its a nightmare

Lets hope your nephews come home safe Neale, along with the rest of the soldiers who are out there

Reckon we all agree with you - grim news indeed.

  8. Needless loss of life

May they rest in peace and never be forgotten

  10. This is more very sad news.

I also think it is very worying. I am told that they were in a Warrior armoured viehicle when they were struck by the bomb and they can take a blast. If it was not a Russian mine it would mean that the Taliban may have new and more devistating technology.

    Grim news indeed.
I'm not sure just walking away now is a viable option, even though it seems an un-winnable situation.
Anyone seen any of that latest Afghan series? The ANA are never going to cope when we pull out.

  12. What an absolute tragedy, my thoughts go out to all of their families.

  13. so much for the new wagon they had just shows they are in no way safe , sorry for the familys loss owen nw

  14. A terrible shame and a terrible waste. In the week that Karzai has agreed with his top clerics that women are property and after 40+ have been killed because some books were burned for that to happen just serves to highlight the appalling waste of lives and money in that place.

  15. its so so shocking, to me it does'nt where they are from they are still our boys, my heart goes out to all their families, time we pulled out and stop this waste of human lives. :( :( :( :(

  16. It always saddens me that its the total dead people speak about

For every person thats died in conflict there are many more that have to suffer the headmess afterwards and the effect on there family and so on

War is a game of one upmanship

Those that dont want war suffer the most

  18. The lads out there dont see it as nothing though
They see it as they joined up they have a job to do and they damm will do it till they drop

Young lads turned into grown men in the most horrible way ever then shunned outside the forces for being murderers and too advanced for there age

I admire anyone that puts there country before themselves

  19. Just been talking about this with daughter in law who's Father and brothers are all in the army, she says their are so many who have lost their lives and so many more who have lost limbs and who are maimed for life, for what its shocking :( . You cant begin to wonder what their families are going through :( . My sympathy goes out to them all.
