Hi A quick question for ‚dell runners’..im not sure what am i supposed to do with that choke bit sticking out?..should i remove it to clear the spacer ot trim it?..i did read that i should leave it in place but then its sticking out so im not able to fit spacers and filters.. Cheers Wysłane z iPhone za pomocą Tapatalk
As I recall, they unscrew, so you can take them off and shorten them - long time ago! Are they the CSP spacers? They work well if you've got flat-bottomed filters. PS The bushes I think are the mounting points for air filters on Alfas, etc.
The spring and plunger need to be kept ....I have removed the protruding item and tapped the hole and fitted a grub screw
..well not sure about the spacers..i got them off ebay (eurocarb) but quality wise they look spot on ..i also got some cheap chrome air filters but yeah they r flat bottomed just had to redrill the holes for mounting bolts Wysłane z iPhone za pomocą Tapatalk
..yeah thats what o thought..remember reading about it spme time ago..i think i may go this way just shorten those sticking out bits and fit the grub screws it would make the look more ‚factory’ Wysłane z iPhone za pomocą Tapatalk
Thinking about it, I may have done what @lhu1281 did...binned the bushes and used some other means of holding the insides in. Long time ago! As above, I recall they came off when you released the clips, once the carb tops were off.
..ok but the holes need to b filled in dont they by using grub screws or any sort of blanking plugs? Wysłane z iPhone za pomocą Tapatalk
They don't need to be blanked ....the only important bit is that the plunger stays down ..the two most common ways are 1, remove spigot , Tap and fit grub screw (m10 or m12 I can't remember ) 2 ,leave spigot and drill clearance hole in air filter base Which ever is easier for you
