1. Whats the script at the moment with various type 4 engine parts not being available? The main players are on back order for a fair few items. 2. Has this always been the case? 3. With new/good condition LB doors being like hens teeth, what happened to the press tools from Brazil? Happy restoring

Building a 2ltr myself. Used parts from 3 different engines and have various parts left over for sale. Let me know what bits you need and if I've got them I'll price them up. I know I've got two cases, both of which need a line bore - £50 each? Based near Bourne in Lincolnshire.
Hi guys. Thanks for the offers and advice! My engine man Paul (Aircooled Scotland) managed to all the required parts except for a gasket set. Hopefully it'll be sourced soon.
There are enough people rebuilding T4s (some of them even do it well eh @Razzyh!!) that they must be readily available I’d have thought.
I'd be worried about the skills of my engine guy if he is having trouble sourcing the gasket set. They are readily available at virtually all the VW spares shops.
These seem to be rare as hens teeth in the UK at the moment. Bus-OK.de have them for €80 plus about €19 postage.

Hi Why would you question an engine builders skills regarding availability of a gasket set..the fact the gasket set is not available from the normal supplier has no bearing on the engine building skills.
