Slough swapmeet

  1. I shall be there. Only an hour around M25 . I'm picking up a couple of wheels for my beetle:)

@stirlingmoz are you gonna be in your crewie?

  2. What could you swap Slough for ? Not a lot would be my guess

  5. Good show - never been before. Got chatting to Buttys bits and Simon said he was always improving the throttle kit design and as I had an early version he upgraded the front hanger and bearing section free of charge. Top bloke.

Fraid not. I went in my VW Up!

The crewie is almost at MoT standard but I still don’t have the dating certificate to send to DVLA to get it UK registered.

I saw a couple of bay single cabs and spoke to their owners. Met Axeonhead and Baysearcher who it appears is quite local to me and we didn’t realise.

Looked for Davidoft in his T25 crewcab but the only one I saw was unattended.

Bought a used chrome inner door trim and an oil change gasket set. Looked for an old drivers seat to donate some springs but nothing leapt out at me.

Raised enough from various sales to buy some seatbelts Gonna give JK a buzz in the morning and get them on the way.

Great show - loved the buzzing vibe.

  11. Yes agreed Great event. Absolutely heaving first thing. I too spent some time with Simon of Buttysbits and got myself some runners for my Bays passenger seat. Also got myself a retro reversing light to put on my beetle and a heated rear window switch for my bay.

  12. Seems like it went well for the traders..

Is your T25 crewie a mustard / orangey colour ?
    (I’m colour blind BTW)

It was the only one I saw.
