Brakes bit spongy at times. looking to swap out the hoses (might do rears too) any recommendations. Stay standard or goodridges? all info welcome. Ta
I fitted the Goodridge’s about 10 years ago and their still holding up. Considering I had to replace a rear brake cylinder a month or so ago, which says the hoses are well made to me.
I was going to go Goodridge but so far have tried to maintain the originality of my braking system. Mine need doing so if you find somewhere with a good price then let me know.
I bought these, fitted fine. All the parts i've had from them have been Febi, Topran etc. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-T2-BRA...hash=item337d919f28:m:mxaPNdSTA4PE45_uxO1iA2g
I had that happen, spongy for 2 years then 2 weeks before we went to Scotland started leaking out of the push rod clevis section ....changed the M/ cylinder brill foot pedal , mine was the original too .
I use tierod69 (B&B components) a lot, not to far from me too be able to pop down to if I need something urgent. sells the usual names in pattern parts at good prices.
Has no servo ...got the M/S from VWH Part No 211-611-021/AE/ATE .....£ 91.79 plus VAT . There are cheaper ones but i didn't fancy them ...came with switch .
I used a set of theses eBay item number: 152739356618 I think the ends were a bit different from the original but I did replace all of the copper brake lines at the same time. The brakes were very poor before and OG flexi pipes were cracked, brakes are loads better since.
I've used tierod69 (b and b components ) for various bits and although not fancy they do the job and usually a reasonable price Sent from my SM-J500FN using Tapatalk
