Busy day..... oil, filter, plugs, leads, fuel filter, dizzy cap and rotor all changed. Tightened my loose mirrors, changed the terminals feeding the fuel pump so they stop falling off and changed the front shocks!!!

Will feel like a new van on the way to work tomorrow!!

 

Jules65 if I'd had read this before now I'd have popped over and introduced myself.

I was just round the corner from you and regularly passed your bus!

@bobdogs were there as well

I heard about captain underpants but didn't see him myself.

Some of the fancy dress was quality

 

It will be worth it and should keep the bus on the road for many more years

 

No need to worry @Suss, the cleaners did a top job keeping them clean!

Would have been nice to have met another Latebayer.

Thinking about Skeg Vegas, Camper Calling, VW Action, Techenders and possibly a couple of others. Convinced the wife and kids that Techenders will just be a bunch of blokes in a field talking about vans so she isn't going. I didn't mention the lager drinking and potential takeaways

 

Packed her ready for our 3 week wandering around Wales ( via Cotswolds)

 

Charged my batteries so that I can get to Portsmouth on Friday, the first part of the trip to the Vendée

 

I don't tend to go to any shows, but my local club put this one on and its now become a cheap camping annual weekend for a load of local non vw mates

I go to techenders though, so hopefully meet you at the next one

 

Rolled it forward two foot and used the front tyre to toe my ladder whilst I went up to fix the front guttering.

Rolled it back again.

This van is money well spent, is there nothing you can't use it for!

 

Stuck some 'posh' gaffa tape over some bits we want to hide until we're ready to deal with them
Bit like pretending they're not there until the winter!!!

Oh yeah and put a new cushion in to see how it looked

Fitted an inner seal for the westy louvered window.
Interestingly they are "handed" and thinner on the top than the bottom.

Still to do this one as it will be awkward and I'll probably have to juggle the wardrobe.

 

Biting the bullet Mike my hat's off to you your van is more than worth it.
You have it made it a cross over using state of the art tech. Fascinating stuff.

Took Flo for MOT, passed. Just needed new wiper blades as one was slightly split. (fitted for less than a tenner). No advisories
