Hello! I joined the forum a couple of years ago and have always appreciated the advice and support. Unfortunately The last 7 months have been very difficult. Last autumn I was getting increasingly frustrated with the van and the garage, feeling like I was been ripped off. Hazel, my wife, had an extremely difficult time at the school which she works in, and I was getting stressed because of this and I was busy too. Eventually she was signed off with anxiety and depression then two days later I suffered a brain aneurysm. I'd gone to the Christmas pub quiz, remember coming home, then the next thing I'm aware off is I'm sitting in hospital with a chap on the end of the bed saying to me, 'when people who have a bleed like yours it's 50/50 whether you live or die, toss of a coin, you lived well done!' I'm recovering well and so thankful to be here. It has been a difficult time but we have discovered what wonderful friends we have. Two other good things that have come of this, Hazel had to drive the campervan, and we got a dog! He's been a big part the healing for both us! Sorry for the long post...can I come back to play? Welcome back @Marzydj Glad to see that you made it through. Plenty of playmates here and quite a few new faces since your last visit.
Sounds like you've had an unfair share of bad fortune there to say the least! Good work on the recovery, sounds like you're making progress, hope it continues upwards! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
sounds like you have been through a very Marmitey time I'm sorry to hear, but at least things are getting better and maybe now you both can start enjoying your bus. Dogs are the best healers. What's is the dogs name??
Thanks rustbuck, tbh I think my concern about the garage was as much with where I was at then them. They have actually been really supportive and generous. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Thank you, he's called Oskar. He really has saved us, for a Lab he's really calm. Can't wait for our first holiday with him! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Phew! Great to hear how you have pulled through tough times. I can fully sympathise with your wife - looks like I will be leaving my school after a horrible couple of years.
Hello... That's quite a time you had... Sounds like the love of family and friends really showed it's strength. Enjoy days away...England is beautiful.
