In a nutshell, I just haven't got time for my Mrs's daily anymore, she needs something a little safer, a little more boring, a little more modern then the beetle as she's a nurse so we have decided to part ways with the beetle. Story of it... I Bought it in Feb, (thought was a good idea at the time) from a chap who had it stored since 98 in his garage, then re stated it to our roads in sept 16... then I bought it in Feb. Tax free Mot till sept So... 1303 1973 Beetle. I have... Converted to an alternator/electronic ignition New pass side door rubbers (got drivers side still in box) New pass side step (got drivers side still in box) New fuel lines New plugs Central locking Hawk Alarm with zone control Rebuilt carburettor. It also has it bad bits and these are not major, scabby arches, door bases, and step panel etc. Nothing that couldn't be completed as a rolling resto as stated. its over 40 years old so will have scabby bits and rust patches but from what I can see nothing major. Its worth someone having a look to really see its quality and whats got to be done. Not a bad little beetle for 40+ that wouldn't take much to keep road worthy as a more weekend motor but too much to keep on top of as a daily and I wouldn't want it to turn into a rusty mess as that's just blasphemous. So someone with a little more time should have it as I have my Bay to sort! I want what it ows me and it's an honest sale so £3000 ONO. Located in Milton Keynes. Pics below.
