No one can win hearts like man’s best friend and in honour of this bond between man and canine, Dog Day is celebrated.

Take time to appreciate the love and value that dogs bring to our daily lives, and to do your bit for homeless and abused dogs the world over. From keeping us safe working for the emergency services to supporting people who are blind, deaf or disabled, dogs do a lot for us humans, and this is an opportunity to give something back.

Recommendations for ways to celebrate Dog Day range from adopting a dog from a rescue home to giving your dog a holistic spa treatment or even buying yourself and your dog matching t-shirts.

still thinks she's a puppy but 10 soon, brother can't have pets permanent where he lives but is allowed to have them weekends so is doing the odd weekend for us and also 'cos he'd love a dog, will miss her camping but will be nice to have a bit of space and no dog hair!
Poppy is well now the vet found a medicene to stop her weight loss.

we're off to that site we like in wem (lower lacon) it's reasonalably close and has all facilities onsite - lu has to be back mon lunchtime for work so we can still get 3 nights in and leave by 11 and get home in time.

weather is what it is, today good tomorrow showers, sunday could be either, monday good but that's neither here or there as we'll be going home, club and pub onsite with entertainment so it doesn't matter really.
