@rickyrooo1 @WoodyLubber And anyone else that owns a builders van Like a fool I declared that my vehicle has been lowered. My premium jumped from £30 to £90 a month. So my question is, who do you guys insure with? Tried jk and got it down to £43, but I want cheaper!
My van is insured as a campervan not just a van It's got agreed value and awning cover and other cover for stuff I can't remember. On the T4 site most go for a company called A Plan. I'm not with them coz I'm not sure they do what I wanted but loads with day vans are. Try brentacre as well.
My actual builders van is insured with A Plan, so is the wifes car. They are a broker and they find some amazing deals.
try greenlight or a-plan they both advertise on the t4/5 forum, both are fully up to speed with mods and loads of the guys over there use them - i use green light myself.
A-Plan, speak to Dan or Paul A (new business) they put me with Highway who are pretty good with modifications.
Had you not mentioned that it had been lowered, the'd have got out of paying a claim. I declared stickers on mine & sent them a picture.
Iv'e heard lots of stories, Mainly just rubbish people on the flux phones, What have you heard or has happened to you, I was with them and cherished for years without any issues, they are just a broker, the Insurance is not with them it's with proper underwriters, probably the same ones that they all use. Flux don't pay out the Underwriter does
they were a nightmare with my caddy and trying to get my ncb back, and proper arseholes on the phone, lots of stories on the net but i guess not all bad, i wouldn't use them again anyway
The T4 page is biased towards it's preferred ( Mates ) suppliers, If anyone asks about insurance the big mod comes straight on and says only use A Plan, if any one mentions others he shouts them down and slags all other insurers off, Then his mate ( The A Plan Bloke who was mentioned earlier in this thread ) comes on and says ring him, it's happens everyday, It's the same with re mappers, Stainless exhaust makers, injector suppliers and other things, they only let their preferred mates get a look in, I and most others who have been around a while can see straight through it, newbies just follow their posts and they get loads of business
i used greenlight flux was before i had the t5 or went on the forum, i had it on my caddy. they used my car ncb to insure my van, then when i cancelled my van insurance they refused to give me proof of ncb to use on a car again even though i asked at the very start if they would and they agreed. i personally won't use or refer them to others, the moaning about them is what i've read after my problems.
Have you got proper Motorhome/Campervan insurance with agreed value and everything including the interior insured or just van insurance
At the moment just van with agreed and updated when I do stuff, renewal soon so going to motorhome as per v5
Went through jk in the end. They called me yesterday and were really helpful. Got agreed value, loads of campervan extras. Key cover etc for cheaper than my original renewal quote so well chuffed. Cheers for your help. Still can't believe a whole thread with 99% helpful responses lol
