  1. Been in to the calor centre today while i was filling caravelle with LPG and and asked for the cost of a 907 refill. £32.99 she said as prices have gone up.
Its only 2.42kg which is 4.16 litres of butane which works out as about £7.93/l.
As a comparison LPG is just 56.9p/l.

    Good point!
I will try a few out at techenders , I have a 3.9kg propane that is just too big so have to remove it from the locker to stand it upright

  12. GoOutdoors wanted £29.99 for a 907 refill , which I thought was a rip off, but £32.99 is taking the proverbial!!

I'm sure I only paid £12.50 at techenders last year, but we've just paid £23.99 at the local camping shop.

Might try converting to methane next year and eating more beans!!!

    Rip off Calor!
They're more than the 13kg we use on the boat!
The re-fillable system comes in at less than £200 and has already paid for itself several times over.
I'd seriously recommend this system to anyone who has a propex and cooks in the van
Gas is currently 49.7 pence per litre at the local Asda...

  16. No use for running the fridge though. :(

Its 56.9p/l here but its the only supplier in the area so they can charge what they want. :(
I'll probably end up with an underfloor tank at some point.

  17. When I got rid of my bay I took two back to my local supplyer, complete with the little screw on handles. One was almost empty the other was a good 1/2 or more full. Any money back? NOPE!

  18. Halfrauds sell empty 907 for £20.00 ,but the staff ensured me they were full after all why would we sell empty bottles I heard voice say as I was leaving the shop
