Thanks matty - Why couldn't I find that? lol ...still not really what I had in mind though - I don't want it glued onto the bottom edge when something better would perch on the top edges without glue? And stupidly over-priced for what it is!
Indeed, but excellent for good ribbing. He has a grown up daughter but this is a man who needs a son and now has one, he's loving it.
i used some double side tap product found at most upvc suppliers they come in different thickness it works however you will have to apply foiled tape on other side. if you can wait i will bring some to tecenders. if your going
dead before they've left home? sod that lark..... i don't even like lu's kids kids calling me "grandad rick"
Mine close properly without needing seals. Undo the screws holding the latch in place. Open the latch. Let go of the lever so it drops and rests against the mechanism about 3/4 down from full opened. Push the panes closed. Do up the screws. Close the latch tensioning the mechanism. Job done they will snap shut and hold the glass louvres together under pressure. Wi post video later.
Thanks for the offer, no offence but that sounds like what I'm trying to avoid doing. Clear plastic timmage for the win.
My glass is held inside frames at the ends which make the ends necessarily bigger than just the glass. So there is a small gap between the panes - just like yours.
No offence taken, i had a devon window and replaced what seemed to be OG seal so just created what was there, it worked really well. good luck with the trim fella.
on the bottom of mine i use b a q draught excluder foam seal in white 1-5mm self adhesive one side looks very neat. no draught. cost about £3 .
Now this doesn't exactly fit the going-down-the road-and-buy-one requirement, but is where I got mine from. They fit well and got the lip on for a tight seal; /http://www.vintagetrailersupply.com/ I looked high and low before ordering from them.
