Ed's already cooking food to freeze for the splitty people in 2 month's time, don't think that's likely! He's as busy as ever, non-stop one thing or another. Looking well too I'd say.
Shall I bring my curtain material and sewing machine down?.. just saying... if you've got some free time!
Lucky man, the very best of luck to you @zedders. Good luck with the boat search too. I'm envious as I had a narrow boat myself a couple of years back and absolutely loved it. We sold it as life got in the way. Every boat is different, and everyone's idea of what makes a good one is also very different. The one thing I would have changed on mine would have been the toilet. I had a pump out. If I ever got another one, I would go for a cassette type every time. No need to move the boat every 3 or 4 weeks for the waste to be flushed, no costs as self disposal is generally free, and you get extra storage space on board as you don't have to sleep over a holding tank. Win win all round. Also, the washing machine was also a real bonus on board,
Thanks Colin, it's taken 5 years to get to this point, I've looked at so many boats I now appreciate they are like houses. One will feel right for no apparent reason, I've seen plenty that would do fine over the years before I was ready to go so the right one will turn up, probably unexpectedly. I'm in no rush other than having nothing better to do.
Good luck. If you are ever Sheffield way, I'll happily put you up in my house or provide a driveway with access to power - whichever you prefer. I've text you my details
What a nice bunch of peeps you all are. I'm tempted to do a driveway tour of the UK. Not really, but thanks for all the offers of parking and hospitality, much appreciated.
