  1. Presumably to avoid swing voters and suchlike only the select few should have the right to vote....it could be argued that the swing voter has an informed view on their political choice rather than slavishly following the same grouping regardless.

Why isn't there a poll on this thread. It seems that most of us are for out but an anonymous vote would be interesting.

  3. We're never going to be 'great' on our own again because we don't have the Empire any more. Leaving the EU will leave us as a bit part player that nobody cares about.

You "informed" voter has been sold a bag of lies though, whatever the party they plumped for. If people really can't spot the difference between the party's they swing between then no, they shouldn't vote. Perhaps a simple test on the way in. "do you, or have you ever believed anything a politician says?" If you answer yes, no vote. :)

But no one hears that above the OUT OUT OUT drip feed of the Murdoch press. People like to have their ill informed prejudices about the EU reinforced. Taking the time to look at BOTH the pros and cons of EU membership is the best way forward before deciding. Not sure which way I'll vote but it certainly won't be on the back of the newspaper propaganda and scare stories.

I don't understand what difference it'll make either way, and there is absolutely no way for people like me to get any non-biased information.
All I know is that if Cameron thinks were better off in; we're probably better off out.

  7. Seems Cameltwit has got nothing to deal with. and it can be torn up after the referendum, so he will be spinning more lies and then selling us to the highest bidder.
while were in its going to cost us,

I think the out camp are waiting on Boris to make his decision, If he goes out then loads will follow and he'll prob end up leader if out wins, If the goes in with Cameron then he's just bowing down and towing the line, which is the more likely outcome

Precisely - boris is waiting so he can choose the winning side and further his own interests, he and the rest don't really give a monkeys other than they could end up millionaires on the back of it like the Kinnocks.

I'm firmly in the "out" camp and I don't care what Boris decides.

To be honest I'm not too concerned about immigration as on balance immigration tends to strengthen and improve a country by adding diversity. Obviously we could point at Bogdan, a scrounging criminal Romanian and use him to tar all immigrants with the same brush. Just as easily we could point our accusing finger at Tyler from Essex who was born and bred here and is a useless, feckless layabout who believes the country owes him a living.

I'm also not going to be very impressed with whatever deal Cameron comes back with as
    a) I don't believe a word he says
    And
    b) It can all be rescinded after we've voted.

The reason I'm voting no is to (hopefully) rid us of thousands of extra politicians. In my opinion the fewer levels of political heirarchy the better. I also believe that as a nation we are perfectly able to make our own way in the world and, what's more, make a success of it.

Apparently we're having a referendum on 23rd July.

Be interesting how the outcome is handled

I can think of a few things!

    1. Make them go on litter picking duty
    2. Park grass cutting duties
feel free to add to the list :D

  17. I voted to stay out in the original vote. But I'm not sure that coming out now would be the best move. It would be interesting to know what Cameron's interpretation of closed borders is.

  19. Thought it was about belly buttons, and then I wondered about the undecided...
Can ye Brits choose your belly button/navel/umbillicus?
Then the coffee kicked in, and like my van, the brain gears slowly clicked into place.
