Hi, we are looking for an original cooker/stove for our 73 Westfalia Continental (RHD). Our camper's original interior is almost complete however the original cooker was removed by a previous owner. We would love to have the right cooker for our camper! Please let us know if you happen to have one of these that you don't want and are willing to sell. Thanks
Thanks very much, it sounds promising! Can you tell us anymore about the condition of it, do you know if it works? How much do you think the metal work on the top could be cleaned up? And yes, we figured that your quoted price incl postage didn't take into account posting to Australia!
It came in a wesite continental project I had ....I have just had another good look at it,, in my opinion the pan rack will need to be re-chromed or replaced as the rust is to bad,,,,the rest of the cooker looks good and the stainless steel hob just needs a good clean,, the only way i can test it is by cutting the hose,,as i don't have a fitting, for it,, personally id would have replaced the gas pipe anyway ,, there is nothing visible to indicate it needs replacing but given its unknown age, better to safe than sorry,,,the knob shafts both turn on and off, so again cant see any reason why it wont work,, the wood box its sits on is solid,,not rot or woodworm,,,, im quite happy to cut the pipe and test it for you if you like...
Thanks, we suspected that the pan rack would need re-chroming. Don't worry about cutting the hose, if it doesn't work properly it probably only needs a good clean out. We would appreciate it if you could provide us with a quote including postage down under and what would be your preferred method of payment?
hi mate,,,, right i hope your sitting down... I have just weighed it and its just over 4kg before packing,,, so i estimate it at 5kg packed,,, The prices are for shipping with a courier are expensive and i cant use royal mail as they have an 2kg limit for air mail.. UPS Interparcel express £65.50 FX Economy £67.75 TNT wont collect from houses only a business address and their more expensive at £85 and finally the cheapest is POST NL at £53.95,,, they use a company called myhemes (based in uk only) who then pass it over to TNT POST to deliver.. I have never used this service so cant comment but i have used my hermes for delivery over here and have never had an issue in over 100 parcels.
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you - busy few days. Thanks very much for going to the trouble of being so thorough with postage options. We knew it would not be cheap! Before we decide which option to go with, can you please confirm your price on the cooker? Originally you mentioned 30 pounds but that seemed to include postage within the UK? Also, what payment method would you prefer? Could we possibly pay you via Paypal?
Hi there, We are still interested in the cooker - thanks for the postage prices, however we are assuming those quotes don't include the price you are asking for the purchase of the cooker itself. Could you please confirm the price you are asking for the cooker in addition to the postage costs (ie we would be paying for one of the postage amounts listed + x pounds for the cooker?). We just want to be able to work out what the total cost would be. Also, what payment method would you prefer? Is paying you via paypal an option? Thanks
Yes it seems they are rare in Australia, we have only heard about three others here so far. But perhaps there are others hiding somewhere!
Hi there, We are working towards purchasing the cooker mentioned here. We would be interested to know if you do indeed have some knobs for that model cooker? And if so, how much you would want for them and would you would be willing to post to Australia? Thanks!
