My Mitsi Legnum

What do you mean "never heard of 'em". Take a look and be surprised at a fast (and I mean fast), family estate car which is reliable and cheapish to insure. Never made in this country but can be imported through various channels. Best thing is that it's similar to my Bay - well, in petrol consumption it is, nothing else!!

ENJOY!!

mmm nice i do like a mitsy...   i used to have a proper "buffer's" one

longest official name for a car I've ever had

1990 Mitsubishi Galant 2.0 16V Gti 4wd 4ws Saloon

regret letting it go it was awesome, I only ever saw one other one exactly the same spec on a road and I used to see it every day as it lived near where I worked when I had mine

Technochippy - was the Galant a twin turbo? Makes all the difference you know!!

I love the VR-4 apart from the fuel consumption. Just a practical, cheap, reliable estate that goes  like stink when you want it to and can take stuff to the local tip with no probs.

no no this is the old (mostly) 4 cylinder era of galant...   thre was an uber rare v6 which had a Sigma engine in it of the same ilk but I don't recall there being a twin turbo version of the model I had.

Haven't actually got a pic of my one... but here's a similar one - mine had the factory wheels not those nasty things

my only complaint about that car was the rear seats didn't fold down which was a pain, there was a hole behind the centre arm rest you could apparently stick the heads of your golf clubs through lol

Certainly looks the part!!

I'd never considered a Mitsi as a practical proposition but then my son-in-law came along and he was well into cars. He persuaded me I should have something quicker than my 4X4 to last me into my second childhood!! Never regretted buying the VR-4 and still love it - just grateful I only do 5000 7500 miles a year in it.
I'm surprised rear seats didn't fold down in yours - seems like a very sensible thing to do in all cars, where poss and it makes such a difference on an estate car - I can even get 2 fullish jumbo bags in mine (not with sand/ballast/topsoil tho'!!!!!!) .

Yours wouldn't have been any good to me - don't play golf. LOL :ex:

Thanks for your interest.
