more work inside callie......new buddy seat....new sliding door panel.....started the new curtains!!! 1 15 quid sewing machine and I seem to have turned into a proper little seamtress!!!!!!! no more work now off to hunstanton tomorrow to drink beer and watch weeman run about on the beach with a massive smile on his face!!!

The material is from Peterborouhg Market, and the sewing machine is from dunhelms.....I've never sewn before tuesday night and its the easiest thing to use....that and the how to vids on youtube!! lol

WoW  never thought of using "Youtube"  I am a complete "Sewing Virgin"  i am going to check out this sewing machine....  I would love to be able to sew   :D

Checked it out  great i can get it on line   :grin

It runs on "Batteries"  do they last ??? 

But great for taking away in the van

The sewing machine I bought runs on mains and batteries. I didn't think the battery only one would be strong enough for the vinyl seat covers.

Making the panel? do you mean the curtain? Cos all that is is the material cut twice the size of the curtain then folded in half (+10mm extra for the upper hem), put the liner on one side, stitch down both short edges, you should then have an inside out curtain!?! turn it in the right way then fold the open edge in about 10mm and pin along the whole edge. Then sew along this edge, iron all the edges down flat your ready for the header tape. when I get home tonight I'm gonna stitch on the header tape (1") and hang........sounds complicated but once you start its easy....I think you could have the whole set done in an evening!! Good luck.....

if anyone out there has the pattern for a full set of seat covers I'm game at having a go at them now.....do you think piping is difficult??
