Losen,,the first bay I bought after having beetles since I was 16. Its a 1975. I bought it in 2005.
Slept on the bed on it on vw togetherings and used it for hauling moose when hunting.
First pic was how it looked when i got it,it had been in Polen for total restoration.
Decided to turn it in to a race car just before SCC 3 years ago. 1. engine was a 2,6 T4,this year upgraded to a 2,9L. with bigger everything inside.
Engine is a 105 bore,,heads from VW machine brothers in the usa. 48/40 valves. race ported inlets?
Crank is a 86 full circle. P cam 304 degrees. 51,5 double webbers. turbo thomas exhaust, from uk.
not been on roling road,,but aprox 260 hp.
Only ran it 4 times on santa pod,,,15,88. 14,92. 15,75 and 14,73.
here it is in action at the pod, Big Bang was the premiere with the new engine in it. did a PB with a 14,73 .
