78 Daisy's interior
« on: Sun 14/03/10, 21:22 »
After over 2 1/2 yrs of doing all the important bits to my bus, I finally can get down to doing the interior.
Had my front seats, headlining, overhead locker, side panels and around middle/rear windows retrimmed last week

My front seats through the windscreen (black blob is fault on camera)

Done the floor today with Madmatz tiles ::)

wow Petal those seats are bloody gorgeous  ::)

Is the middle seat permanently fixed or detachable? That is a cool idea

Hey Petal, is the inside trimmed in denim? I think I can see a bit of it on the side panel

Nope, its lining carpet ::) couldn't put vinyl around windows being a converted panel van so they had to use carpet instead which i'm glad they did cos it makes it a little cosier

Thanks very much.  I used this stuff as sound deadening on the engine deck and throughout the van, It has to be quite warm to use, I used my hairdryer  :p: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/4M-CAR-HOME-AUDIO-SOUND-DEADENING-PROOFING-MATERIAL-MAT_W0QQitemZ250594016013QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_3?hash=item3a58913b0d

then covered with this stuff for insulation from Homebase as it wont trap damp or create condensation, must have used about 5-6 rolls but get it when they have a BOGOF http://www.homebase.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=20001&partNumber=127033&c_2=2%7Ccat_16849207%7CInsulation%7C14113424&c_1=1%7Ccategory_root%7CBuilding+and+Hardware%7C16849207 and then sealed with this tape so as to keep out damp can get it from B&Q http://www.screwfix.com/prods/44312/Sealants-Adhesives/Tapes/Insulating-Sealing-Tape/Aluminium-Foil-Tape-Silver-75mm-x-45m

All in all it's made a hell of a difference both with sound and heat  ;)
