New kid on the scene...
« on: Fri 19/02/10, 04:27 »
Hi Ladies and Gentlemen...

Bought myself a 75 bay.. In garage at the minute getting new 2.0 engine put in. My first question for my project for you guys with the knowledge is... Can I put on the early style bumpers with the steps... I have seen pics of them on the net but never seen or heard of how they done it...

Any Help would be great.

Also look forward to hearing and getting to know everyone

Cheers
Scott

First of all,,congratulation and welcome  :)

There is a early bumper look alike that will fit, it aint got the  sidestep,,but the shape of the bumper looks like the early one.

Welcome  :ha:

My 73 has the 'early style' rounded bumpers fitted but without the sidesteps. I got mine from Custom & Commercial...

I think they are from the Brazilian Bays.

Sorry to hijack thread but i just bought some of these from c&c, were they easy to fit and do you have a towbar that you had to work round?  ::)

The front was easy, you just have to drill corresponding holes.  The back one is more difficult, we had to shave the bumper corner sections to get them to fit (even though C&C said that it would be a doddle!) I don't have a towbar fitted yet so that wasn't a problem...It probably will be when I try to fit the towbar!
