I'm looking to make a guide as to the change over from 1 style to another of bay window features, I's appreciate your input.

So what did the following change?

Early door style to the later

Petrol filler flap to no flap

Think the door hinges changed 75-76, the fuel flap changed 72-73. :um:

AA relay on speed dial? why of course..

According to a well known engine builder the vw engine from 75/76 was able to run on unleaded fuel

It's the door hinges I was most interested in.

Old style bodies being used on production alongside the newer version perhaps?

According to everyone the flat 4 aircooled engine was designed to run on crappy old 2 star and thus will run on anything petrol based without too much trouble ;)

I've seen fuel flaps as late as 74 but they may have been late registrations.  The major change points were July 1972 August 1973 and February 1976

That's nearly a year's advance notice, you can't possibly be doing anything else

Chances are more often than not the next post after this one will be from Nixy

Have you read my resto I changed later doors to early or was it the other way round.. :um:..Jk do a kit and I did the opposite....I think.... :um:

All vw engines came with hardend valve seats to make them run on unleaded , I think after 1968 ,we still have 4 star over here...
