from a mechanical and engineering point of view it cant be that hard to do IF you can find a syncro T 2 5  and adapt it to fit... subaru 4x4 running gear would be nice.

There's a 4WD Bay in the auto museum in wolfsburg :)

But i should imagine that fitting carrera 4 running gear wouldn't possibly be too hard..

I like the gas turbine one they have there....

Also the 4wd race taxi proves anything can be done..

I was seriously looking into this early last year.
Found a rolled syncro and a bare crewcab shell with no running gear.
Syncro bay crewcab FTW.

T25 syncro front and rear boxes can be fitted without too much work.
T25 has track 5" wider than a bay so you'd need to fit wheel arch spats like landrover 90/110 or narrow front and rear axles.
From the look of it the front spindles would be the most difficult bit to modify, though welding T25 and bay spindles together look like it could work.  ::)

If i had the time, money and somewhere to work i would definately build one, though a 2wd bay seems to be able to go pretty much the same places as a T25 syncro.

There are two types of people in this world.
Those that drive late bays...
And those that wished they did.

Your not wrong there! they are very versatile and t25's are heavier.
