Bovington Tank Museum - 6th May 2024 "Tracks & Wheels" day

This coming bank holiday weekend Bovington tank museum have their "Tracks & Wheels" day.

I've been invited by the sporting bears motor club to take along my Baja with some of the other guys from the UK Baja club to put it through its paces around the tank arena as well as take members of the public out on the roads for a charity donation (to date Sporting Bears have raised close to £3million for a host of charities).

Should be good fun!

I'm booked to visit the museum in june for tankfest (teenage son's request )

Track conditions don't look too bad, but the weather over the next few days looks quite wet so it may be a little worse by then.

My dad took me to the museum many times as a kid.

 

A great museum , I'vebeen a few times and there's always something new to ogle w.

I stayed at a great campsite in Wool about a mile away, I'll post a link this evening...

There's some lovely campsites out that way. It wasn't woodyhyde perhaps?

Max and I had an absolute blast with some of the guys from the Baja Club UK yesterday out at Bovington Tank Museum. We took part in two displays round the tank track showing the crowds what these old cars are capable of, as well as having a good nosy round the museum.
I definitely needed that.
